The Railway Board has returned the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of the Saharsa-Laheria Sarai new railway line, demanding a reduction of approximately ₹2680 crore in the estimated cost. approval. The revised DPR will consider cost-cutting measures, including the construction of one bridge instead of two, and eliminating non-essential projects that won't affect train operation, safety, security, or initial passenger facilities. The new railway line will be 98.250 km long and will connect Saharsa to Laheria Sarai via 12 major and 78 minor bridges. The line will also include three road overbridges and 85 underpasses, facilitating travel to several villages in Kosi and Mithila regions, including Mahratha, Bangawan, Mahishi, Baluaha, Jamalpur Musahriya, Rasaiyari, Ghanshyampur, and Kasarour. The project will also improve connectivity to religious sites like the Ugratara Mahishi temple and the Baba Ji Kuti Bangawan temple. The new line will reduce travel time between Saharsa and Laheria Sarai to three hours, compared to the current five-hour journey using alternative routes. The new line will also become the third railway line connecting Kosi-Mithila region.

Saharsa-Laheria Sarai new railway line ke liye DPR ko Railway Board ne vapas kar diya hai, kyunki estimated cost bahut zyada hai. Board ne cost mein ₹2680 crore ki katauti karne ka order diya hai. Consultant agency ab ek new DPR prepare kar rahi hai, jisko Diwali se pehle Railway Board...

ko approval ke liye bheja jaayega. New DPR mein cost-cutting measures honge, jisme ek bridge ke bajay do bridge banayenge, aur kuchh non-essential projects ko remove karenge jo train operation, safety, security ya initial passenger facilities ko impact nahi karenge. New railway line 98.250 km lambi hogi aur Saharsa ko Laheria Sarai se connect karegi 12 bade aur 78 chhote bridges ke saath. Line mein teen road overbridges aur 85 underpasses bhi honge, jo Kosi aur Mithila regions ke kai villages tak travel ko easy banayenge, jisme Mahratha, Bangawan, Mahishi, Baluaha, Jamalpur Musahriya, Rasaiyari, Ghanshyampur, aur Kasarour bhi shamil hain. Project Ugratara Mahishi temple aur Baba Ji Kuti Bangawan temple jaise religious sites ki connectivity ko bhi improve karega. New line se Saharsa aur Laheria Sarai ke beech travel time kam ho jaayega, abhi 5 ghante lagte hain, new line se sirf 3 ghante lagega. New line Kosi-Mithila region ko connect karne wali teesri railway line bhi hogi.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
