Pune Metro Plans To Boost Train Frequency To Every 3 Minutes During Rush Hour

Pune Metro is planning to increase train frequency to every 3 minutes during peak hours on the PCMCSwargate and Vanaz-Ramwadi routes, which are expected to be fully operational soon. Officials stated that the frequency will gradually increase, starting with 5-minute intervals before reaching 3 minutes. Studies are underway to assess the technical requirements for these enhancements. Adding more coaches is planned for the future. The increase in train frequency comes after Pune Metro saw daily ridership surge to 1.5 lakh in September, up from 50,000 last year, thanks to the opening of new stations on the Swargate and Vanaz routes. Daily ridership is expected to reach 2 lakh in the next six months. Commuters have raised concerns about crowded trains during peak hours and the lack of feeder services at some stations.

Isse related technical requirements ko assess karne ke liye studies chal rahi hain. Aage jaake zyada coaches add karne ki planning hai. Train frequency badhane ka decision Pune Metro mein daily ridership badhne ke baad aaya hai, September mein ye 1.5 lakh tak pahunch gaya tha, jo last year 50,000 tha, yeh Swargate aur Vanaz routes par naye stations khulne ki wajah se hua hai. Agle six months mein daily footfall 2 lakh tak pahunchne ki ummeed hai. Commuters ne peak hours mein crowded trains aur kuch stations par feeder services ki kami ke baare mein concerns raise ki hain.
