The shops are being demolished to make way for the construction of a new station building, for which a tender has been issued and a work order given to a construction company. The total outstanding amount owed by the shopkeepers is approximately three crore rupees, with the oldest shops, like Mulkraj Hotel, having the highest dues. The shops, most of which are leased out, were measured by railway engineers, and the notices specify both the shop owner and the tenant. The DRM has assured the shopkeepers that he will support them throughout the process.

Zyadatar shops lease par di hui hain, aur unka napan railway engineers ne kiya hai, aur notice mein shop owner aur tenant dono ke naam diye gaye hain. DRM ne shopkeepers ko assurance diya hai ki wo is pure process mein unka support karenge.
