The Tinsukia-Rajendra Nagar Express, which was set to follow the Vaishali Express on the same track, was halted with a red flag. Several other trains, including the Rajrani Express, were also stalled at various stations due to the disruption. The crack was identified at kilometer number 154/5-7 near railway gate number 41. Following inspection by the PWI team, trains were allowed to run at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour, resuming the operation. According to sources, the track crack was reported to Danauli station by an engineering department employee. In August, a similar near-miss incident occurred on the Patna-Gaya rail line, where a high-tension wire snapped and fell onto the tracks near Nijiyapur Halt, causing a fire. Fortunately, a passenger train had just passed the location minutes prior to the incident, and there were no other trains at the halt, preventing a major tragedy.
