The farmers argued that over 50 villages rely on this road for daily commute and transportation of goods, including fodder, timber, combines, and sugarcane. They feared that the underpass would become waterlogged during the rainy season, hindering vehicular movement. They also pointed out that the railway department had recently resumed the process of closing gate number 46B and bringing materials and machinery for the underpass, leading to public resentment. The farmers requested an investigation and an end to the underpass construction. The SDM assured them of bringing the matter to the attention of higher authorities for resolution.
