Reservation / Train on-demand is difficult, but not impossible
* After commissioning of DFCs, number of freight trains on the NDLS-BCT/HWH routes shall be very less or negligible and these routes shall be like Dedicated Passenger Corridors. Absence of slow-moving freight trains shall substantially increase the sectional capacity and avg speed of express trains, and many new trains may be started thereby reducing the waitlists (maybe eliminating W/Ls).
* 160kmph speed shall not be possible for premium (fully ac) trains on full route. Jump in avg speed from 80-90kmph to 100-110kmph is...
more... possible for top priority Rajdhani trains.
*To ensure full availability of berths, a smooth flow of traffic has to be ensured by running all the non-ac express trains at 130kmph with LHB coaches and avg speed of 70-90kmph. In fact, there may be fast-moving trainsets with non-ac coaches as well.
* To ensure zero waiting lists, the speed restrictions have to be eliminated and bottlenecks at ghat sections/ curves/ gradients have to be gradually eased out so that sectional capacity is maximised.
