## Work Finished on Part of Jammu-Srinagar Railway Line

The 45-kilometer stretch of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project between Sangaldan and Reasi has been completed. This is a major step forward in the construction of the rail line, which will connect Jammu and Kashmir to the rest of India. This section of the project includes 26 bridges, eight tunnels, and 10.5-kilometers of track. The work was carried out by the Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), the project's executing agency. The completed section includes the iconic Chenani-Nashri tunnel, which is one of the longest highway tunnels in the world.
This progress is expected to boost tourism and economic development in the region. Once finished, the USBRL will be the highest railway line in India.
