The section also includes safety features like escape tunnels, ballastless tracks, canted turnouts, CCTV monitoring, and state-of-the-art tunnel safety technology. The 185.66 RKM Baramulla-Srinagar-Banihal-Sangaldan section of the USBRL is fully electrified and can accommodate Vande Bharat trains.
