The Kilambakkam bus terminus is designed to accommodate 1.5 lakh commuters daily and will house private and TNSTC buses, including those heading to the delta, southern districts, Puducherry, Villupuram, and Cuddalore. However, omni bus operators have refused to relocate to Kilambakkam from Koyambedu due to space constraints and insufficient facilities.
