pilot reported hearing an explosion prior to the derailment, which is being investigated by the Railways and UP Police. The Railways announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 10 lakh for the deceased, Rs 2.5 lakh for grievously injured, and Rs 50,000 for minor injuries. Track restoration work is underway, and a special train carrying 600 passengers left for Assam on Friday. The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.

Loco pilot ne derailment se pehle ek explosion sunne ki baat kahi, jiska investigation Railways aur UP Police kar rahe hain. Railways ne deceased ke liye Rs 10 lakh, grievously injured ke liye Rs 2.5 lakh aur minor injuries ke liye Rs 50,000 ki ex-gratia payment ka announcement kiya. Track restoration ka kaam chal raha hai, aur 600 passengers wali ek special train Friday ko Assam ke liye chali. Derailment ka karan abhi tak pata nahi chal paya hai.
