requested by BJP MP Balabhadra Majhi for his Nabarangpur constituency. The decision to create a new division in Rayagada was prompted by Andhra Pradesh's request for a railway zone in Waltair. To ensure that the Rayagada division stays within Odisha's East Coast Railway Zone, the Minister has confirmed that Koraput, Rayagada, and Gajapati will remain under the same zone. The detailed project report (DPR) for the Rayagada division is still awaiting approval.
