TBM Buddha, a 6.65m diameter Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) machine, achieved the breakthrough on Patna Metro's 14.05 km Line-2, connecting Patna Junction Railway Station and New ISBT. L&T was awarded the Rs. 1989 crore contract for Package PC-03 in December 2021, with a 42-month deadline. Package PC-03 will include six underground stations. Bidding is underway for the 16.86 km Line-1's 8 km underground section, with the original deadline extended to May 31.
