Nixing Ernakulam Jn from Venad Express halt list sees other trains get ‘punctual’

delays. The move has allowed for other trains, like the Nagercoil-Mangaluru Parasuram Express, to arrive at Ernakulam Town station on time. However, concerns were raised about the lack of alternative transport for commuters who rely on Venad to reach Ernakulam Junction, especially those working in the city. Suggestions were made to introduce a MEMU service from Tripunithura to Ernakulam Junction to compensate for the change. This isn't the first time the Venad Express's route has been changed; a similar attempt was made in 2019 but was eventually reversed.

decision aise passengers associations ke request ke baad aaya hai, jinhone argument kiya tha ki halt se train der se pahunchti hai. Is se doosri trains jaise ki Nagercoil se Mangaluru jaane wali Parasuram Express, Ernakulam Town station par time par pahunchne lagi hai. Lekin, commuters ke liye alternate transport ka lack of concern hai, jo Venad par Ernakulam Junction tak jaane ke liye depend karte hain, khass karke city mein kaam karne waale logon ke liye. Tripunithura se Ernakulam Junction tak MEMU service shuru karne ka suggestion diya gaya hai, is change ko compensate karne ke liye. Yeh pehli baar nahin hai jab Venad Express ke route mein change kiya gaya hai; 2019 mein aisa hi ek attempt kiya gaya tha, lekin usse waapas le liya gaya tha.
