more... A total of 76,940 segments will be cast to form the tunnel lining, each segment measuring 2 meters wide and 0.5 meters thick. The segments are being cast at a dedicated yard in Mahape, Thane, using high-strength M70 grade concrete. This yard is equipped with cranes, gantries, and automated machines to ensure quality control during the casting and stacking process. The MAHSR will have 12 stations and accommodate 35 trains per day in each direction, with a frequency of 20 minutes in peak hours and 30 minutes in non-peak hours. The bullet trains will travel at 320 km/hr, making the entire journey between Mumbai and Ahmedabad approximately 2 hours and 7 minutes.
