सर्वेक्षण किया जा रहा है। महाजन ने इस परियोजना के लिए दीर्घकालीन दृष्टिकोण की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया और पहले चरण की धीमी प्रगति पर चिंता व्यक्त की। हवाई अड्डे पर मेट्रो का भूमिगत स्टेशन बनने से हवाई अड्डे के विकास पर पड़ने वाले संभावित प्रभाव पर भी चिंताएं व्यक्त की गई हैं। बंगाली चौराहे से पीपल्याहाना चौराहा होते हुए रीगल तक जाने वाला प्रस्तावित रूट परिवर्तन से INR 2000 करोड़ का अतिरिक्त खर्च आएगा, और इसके लिए केंद्र सरकार की मंजूरी की आवश्यकता होगी। परियोजना की समाप्ति तिथि 2030 तक बढ़ सकती है।

Airport pe metro ka underground station banne se airport development pe padne wala potential impact pe bhi concerns raise hue hain. Bengali Square se Pipliyahana Square hote hue Regal tak jaane wala proposed route change se INR 2000 crore extra kharcha ayega, aur iske liye central government ki approval ki jarurat hogi. Project completion date 2030 tak badh sakta hai.
