This will be the third Vande Bharat train in Kerala. The train service is initially planned until August 26th but is expected to be extended to become permanent. The Railway Minister announced that India currently has 102 Vande Bharat Express trains running, with 16 of them operating in Maharashtra. The Vande Bharat coaches are manufactured in Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Chennai, Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala, and Modern Coach Factory (MCF) Rae Bareli. The Marathwada Coach Factory in Latur is also involved in manufacturing Vande Bharat coaches through a technology partnership. The Railway Minister highlighted that resources and operational considerations are carefully managed for the smooth operation of Vande Bharat trains.
