almost three years. The classification of these trains as 'special' has now been removed, and they are back to their original numbers. For example, the fare for a local train from Raipur to Champa has been reduced from ₹150 to ₹85, while the fare from Champa to Bilaspur has dropped from ₹40 to ₹20. The reduction in fares has been welcomed by passengers, who are now able to travel at more affordable rates.

इज़ाफ़े को खत्म कर दिया गया है। यात्री अब पुराने दर पर ही अपना सफ़र कर सकेंगे। यात्रियों को स्थानीय ट्रेन में किराया दर आधा होने से काफी राहत मिली है। बिलासपुर ज़ोन में चलने वाली स्थानीय ट्रेनों को B नंबर कर दिया गया था, अब उन्हें पुराने नंबर से स्थानीय ट्रेनों के रूप में चलाया जा रहा है।
