Bengaluru's 'Pink Line' metro route, connecting Kaalen Agrahara to Nagavara, has implemented a novel approach for tunnel construction. Instead of the traditional circular tunnels created by Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), this section utilizes a 'Box Pushing' technology. tunnel. This 77-meter long tunnel, located beneath a service road and an overhead flyover near the Nagavara underground station, is constructed with eight such boxes. The decision to adopt this technology was driven by the presence of an overhead flyover and the need to avoid relocating wires and cables beneath it. The rectangular shape also provides ample space for installing electrical connections and other facilities. The Pink Line is expected to be operational in 2025 and will include an interchange station at M.G. Road, connecting the Pink Line with the existing Purple Line.

assemble kiya jaata hai aur unhe aage push kiya jaata hai, jis se ek rectangular tunnel banta hai. Yah 77-meter lamba tunnel, Nagavara underground station ke paas service road aur ek overhead flyover ke niche banaya gaya hai, aur isme aath aise boxes use kiye gaye hai. Is technology ko adopt karne ka decision overhead flyover ki wajah se liya gaya, aur niche wire aur cables ko shift karne se bachne ke liye. Rectangular shape se electricity connection aur dusre facilities ko install karne ke liye bhi kaafi jagah milti hai. Pink Line 2025 mein operational hone ki ummeed hai, aur isme M.G. Road par ek interchange station hoga, jo Pink Line ko existing Purple Line se connect karega.
