new tank, built at a cost of INR 3.5 crores, will ensure uninterrupted water supply. The railway is also installing tanks in quarters to provide 24-hour water access to railway employees. Tatanagar's daily water consumption is 1.1 million gallons, and the new tank will allow for a surplus of 200,000 gallons. This will ensure uninterrupted water supply even if the river water is unavailable for a day. The railway will also increase the capacity of the filter plants at the Lal Building and Burmamines to support the new tank.

filter karne mein bahut problem aati thi. Is naye tank ke saath, railway departments mein 24 hours pani aayega. Ye tank 3.5 crore ki lagat se bani hai, aur iske saath railway quarters mein bhi pani ki tanks lagaye ja rahe hain. Tatanagar mein roz 11 lakh gallon pani ka use hota hai, aur is naye tank se, roz 2 lakh gallon pani extra bachega. Isse, agar ek din river se pani nahi aaya toh bhi, railway mein pani ka supply band nahi hoga. Naye tank ke saath, Lal Building aur Burmamines mein filter plants ki capacity bhi badhayi jaayegi.
