A delegation from the South Eastern Railway Zone, led by General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra, met with senior Tata Steel officials on Tuesday to discuss the project execution. The General Manager stressed the importance of using sustainable options, which also help preserve the environment. Rajeev Srivastava, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), lauded the Ministry of Railways' ambitious plan to strengthen rail infrastructure and acknowledged Tata Steel's role in developing sustainable construction materials to meet the needs of the construction industry. Tata Steel has established a state-of-the-art Accelerated Weathering facility for processing LD slag through steam aging, converting steel slag into sustainable aggregates. A dedicated laboratory has been set up to ensure product quality. Tata Steel launched India's first branded LD slag product - Tata Agretto and Tata Nirman.
