it a human error. The merchant who received the parcel confirmed that a package had broken and the peanuts recovered were indeed his. After recording statements from both parties, the RPF submitted their report to higher authorities. Meanwhile, a team constituted by the Ambala Division inspected the parcel office and recorded statements from the involved employee, which will be presented to the Senior Commercial Manager Freight, along with a detailed report. This incident began when on Monday morning, the railway employee found a torn plastic bag containing peanuts while inspecting goods on platform 2. He attempted to seal the bag but failed, and collected some fallen peanuts into his pocket. He then informed the chief parcel officer and contacted the merchant. This entire incident was recorded by a bystander, Amarjeet Arya, who then tweeted it to railway officials, alleging theft. Upon receiving the complaint, departmental authorities formed a team to investigate. The RPF also initiated action after receiving a message from the control room.
