resulting in the construction of just 6 km of railway track. However, under the current government, Chhattisgarh has seen the construction of 162 km of railway track on average. In the coming years, ₹36,968 crores will be invested in railway development in Chhattisgarh. The government plans to redevelop 32 railway stations under the 'Amrit Railway Station Mission', including Raipur, Bilaspur, and Bhilai, and to improve multi-modal connectivity through projects under the 'PM Gati Shakti' initiative. 40,000 standard railway coaches will also be upgraded to Vande Bharat standards to enhance passenger safety, comfort, and convenience.
