The Prayagraj Junction saw a large number of devotees coming and going by train, while the roadways operated all their regular buses. There were also large crowds on buses travelling from Prayagraj to Ayodhya. The regional manager of Roadways, MK Trivedi, reported that buses on the Gorakhpur and Varanasi routes were also crowded, departing from the Civil Lines bus station.
