Meanwhile, a new MEMU train service between Lucknow and Ayodhya was launched on Thursday, providing frequent travel options. The Railways is also launching ‘Astha’ special trains, starting from January 29th, from various cities to Ayodhya to facilitate the devotees' journey. Due to the increase in visitors post the recent consecration of Ram Lalla, all trains on the Lucknow-Ayodhya route have experienced heavy waiting lists, including the Vande Bharat Express. Bookings for the Vande Bharat are confirmed only after January 28th, while other trains have waiting lists exceeding 200.
