railway added four more special Holi trains to the schedule, all running on the same routes. The majority of the 40 special trains (36 out of 40) are dedicated to routes connecting Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi to eastern Uttar Pradesh (Gorakhpur, Gonda, Ballia, Basti) and Bihar (Siwan, Katihar, Chhapra, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur). The four newly announced trains run on the Delhi-Gorakhpur route and each has 24 coaches: 18 second-class, 3 sleeper class, and 1 air-conditioned third-class coach.
