is proposal ko approve kiya tha, aur June 2024 mein Niti Aayog ne bhi approve kar diya. CMRL ka kehna hai ki unka existing fleet 18 mahine mein capacity par aa jayega, isliye nayi train kharidna jaruri hai. Nayi trains se Chennai Metro ki capacity aur efficiency badhegi aur city ki badhti hui population ko fayda hoga.
