The Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section is significant for its use of Ballast Less Track (BLT) and the inclusion of India's longest transportation tunnel, T-50 (12.77 km). The Katra-Banihal section is challenging due to the difficult geological conditions. Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section Ballast Less Track (BLT) ke use aur India ke sabse lamba transportation tunnel, T-50 (12.77 km) ke inclusion ke liye important hai. Katra-Banihal section difficult geological conditions ki wajah se challenging hai. Project ka aim Kashmir valley ko rest of the railway network se connect karna hai, aur remaining sections ko complete karne ka kaam chal raha hai.
