#Name: Samarsata means Communal Harmony and Equality in Sanskrit. Dr. BR Ambedkar fought hard for eradcating untouchability and making harmony and equality in society. He conveted to Buddhism at Nagpur along with his followers to follow a religion where there is equality and harmony. Deekshabhoomi at Nagpur is a famous and important monument for Buddhists. Since the train was initially upto Nagpur before its extension to Howrah, it was named as Samarsata express
