For many of you who may not be aware, 10th October is remembered in IRI as "Jitesh Day" . But WHY ? Please read the following post of mine # 661062 dated 5th February, 2013, appearing in the ADMIN FORUM, now reposted on this historic day for the benefit of all members .
"...
more... FOR THE KNOWLEDGE & BENEFIT OF ALL ADMINS ESPECIALLY THE NEWER ONES, I would like to introduce one of our very old admins (not in age but length of standing as an admin), Shri. JITESH CHHABRA OF SHUBH YATRA. Jitesh is a man of FEW WORDS whose DEEDS SPEAK LOUDER THAN HIS WORDS. His example of SELFLESS SERVICE can be a great source of INSPIRATION for all of us. Please read below the incident of 10th October, 2010, as so humbly narrated by Jitesh himself :)
"The patient get admitted to Red Cross Hospital Bhopal and now she is well. Some of her relative near by to Bhopal also attended her with me at the station. After that I took permission from them and right now in my office.
The person who contacted me in morning(Mr Sumit) boarded Tulsi Exp from Bhusaval and will reach Bhopal at around 7 PM.
When he called me I was chatting the time with Mr Murli and asked me to Help him in this matter.
I rushed to Bhopal Station and contacted the Station Master and reported him the matter. He Immediately contacted at Bina Station to arrange for a Doctor. Doctor Attended her and gave some treatment and advised to de-board the train at Bhopal for better treatment options. Also in between The DST Railway called SM to attend that case. May be Mr Sumit contacted some railway officials through his contacts.
in between on more case also came like this for train no 1015 for a two year old child.
The SM at Bhopal called doctor to attend the both cases.
And at end every thing is OK now.
Thanks for the efforts of Murli Sir, Goyal Sir, Jain Sir & Soni Bhiaya. "
The noble and heroic efforts of Jitesh were acclaimed by one and all at IRI but the ULTIMATE ACCOLADE came from the MODERATOR himself :
Several tributes to Mr. Jitesh poured in at this site. I am reproducing one of them posted by the MODERATOR for the kind information of all members.
"Today, a passenger's life has been saved by Jitesh (and our other Admins/members, by connection). There are no words to express this community's gratitude and pride in having you as its member. Once again, a million thanks. Nothing less was expected of you, and today you have proven it.
@Admins: Let's preserve Oct 10 as a red-letter day, a day of inspiration, a day to remind everyone what this community is capable of, a day we can all recall to cement the bonds of this society. Oct 10 is when this site has taken the leap from being a rail info site to a humanitarian site. Oct 10 is "Jitesh Day"."
