Southern Railway is planning to operate over 40 special trains from Chennai to southern districts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, starting from October 25th till November 5th, to accommodate the increased passenger demand during Diwali. Special trains will operate from Chennai Central and Egmore on October 29th and 30th, with a waiting list of up to 7000 passengers. To manage the travel rush during the festive season, the railway administration has also planned to operate special trains to various destinations within the Southern Railway network, including Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangalore, Bengaluru, and Mysore, starting from October 25th. In the first phase, Southern Railway has approved seven special trains to operate on specific dates in October and November. Additionally, bi-weekly special trains from Tamil Nadu and Kerala to Delhi and Ahmedabad will be operated from October 23rd onwards for the Chhath Puja festival. Official announcements regarding these special trains will be released soon.

Egmore se October 29th aur 30th ko special trains chalengi, jinki waiting list 7000 tak hai. Is festive season ke liye, railway administration ne Southern Railway network ke andar bahut saare jagah special trains chalane ka plan banaya hai, jaise Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangalore, Bengaluru, aur Mysore. Ye trains October 25th se chalengi. Pehle phase mein, Southern Railway ne 7 special trains ko approve kiya hai, jo October aur November mein chalengi. Chhath Puja ke liye bhi, Tamil Nadu aur Kerala se Delhi aur Ahmedabad tak special trains chalengi, har hafte 2 baar. Ye trains October 23rd se chalengi. In special trains ke bare mein official announcement jaldi hi ayega.
