Assam: RPF seizes Rs 26.48 lakh worth of contraband in early September

and GRP at Lumding railway station resulted in the seizure of 19.7 grams of Brown Sugar (worth Rs. 3.94 lakhs) and 18.10 kgs of Ganja (worth Rs. 1.81 lakhs) from four apprehended individuals. The RPF's efforts in combating contraband smuggling have been substantial, with over Rs. 23.50 crores worth of goods recovered and 283 peddlers apprehended between January and August 2024.
