cut grass and weeds from the edges of the track and within yards. Those refusing are being given charge sheets and their passes and PTOs are being revoked under a conspiracy. Gupta explained that the General Manager issued a letter on September 2nd to six Chief Track Engineers directing the use of chemicals to destroy grass along the tracks and within yards. Trackmen also revealed that sectional in-charges in Lucknow Division units are also having grass cut. Those objecting are being issued charge sheets for various reasons. Gupta stated that he has informed the Senior Divisional Engineer/Coordination Lucknow about this and said that there is no provision for cutting grass. He has also called and requested the immediate stoppage of forcing trackmen to cut grass in the units.

Trackmen ne yeh bhi bataya ki Lucknow Mandal ke units mein bhi sectional in-charges dwara ghaas katwaaya ja raha hai. Jo kaamkarai isse aapatti kar rahe hain, unhe kisi na kisi baat mein charge sheet diya ja raha hai. Gupta ne bataya ki unhone yeh baat Senior Divisional Engineer/Coordination Lucknow ko bhi bata di hai. Unhone kaha ki ghaas katwane ka koi provision nahin hai. Unhone phone karke kaha ki agar units mein trackmen se ghaas katwane ka kaam karaaya ja raha hai to use tatkaal rok lagaai jaaye.
