Passengers had earlier requested for special trains between Mumbai and Chiplun, Ratnagiri, and Sawantwadi during the Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan holidays. The demand for tickets on all trains running between Mumbai and Sawantwadi during the August holidays (15th-19th) is high, with waiting lists being full. Hence, additional trains are being planned. The special train numbered 01149 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 9 pm on 15th and 17th August, reaching Madgaon the next morning at 10 am. The return train, numbered 01150, will depart from Madgaon at 11 am on 16th and 18th August, arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.40 am the next day. These special trains will have halts at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Arvali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Advali, Vilvade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kanakavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivi, and Karmalli. The train will have 2 AC second-class coaches, 6 AC third-class coaches, 8 sleeper coaches, 3 general coaches, 1 generator car, and 1 SLR coach. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has made arrangements for Ganeshotsav travel, with 2,032 buses kept aside for bookings and group reservations. 922 buses, including 501 for group bookings, have already been booked, with a majority of group bookings done by political groups. MSRTC has also planned to add more buses if the demand increases.

August ki chuttiyon (15th-19th) mein Mumbai aur Sawantwadi ke beech chalne wali sabhi trains ke tickets ki bahut demand hai, aur waiting list full hai. Isliye, additional trains plan ki jaa rahi hain. 01149 number ki special train 15th aur 17th August ko Lokmanya Tilak Terminus se raat ke 9 baje chali jaayegi aur dusre din subah 10 baje Madgaon pahunchegi. 01150 number ki return train 16th aur 18th August ko Madgaon se subah 11 baje chali jaayegi aur dusre din raat ke 12.40 baje Lokmanya Tilak Terminus pahunchegi. Iske saath hi, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) ne Ganeshotsav ke liye arrangements kiye hain, aur 2,032 buses bookings aur group reservations ke liye rakh diye gaye hain. 922 buses, jismein 501 group bookings ke liye hain, already book ho gayi hain. Ismein se zyadatar group bookings political groups ne ki hain. MSRTC ne demand badhne par aur buses add karne ka plan bhi banaya hai.
