Useful Useful Agree:Happened with me too recently
Has anyone had any questions asked
/conversation with Railways staff/RPF while doing railfanning?

I had one recently;I was capturing few photos at the station and there were back to back trains arriving, departing
...
and shunting;I was standing at the front end where I could see the loco&few RPFs were also there.

After a few mins, one RPF asked where I was planning to go and then I told I had a ticket(Suburban) to the next few stations.

Then they asked for ID card! And name and age!!(No issues whatsoever;looked more like a formality check as there are news of people running away from families etc etc ...)

After that they asked why I'm capturing trains to which I replied I really like trains;they just laughed ЁЯШБ.

I continued taking pics after that;they didn't mind :)

Just wanted to share my experience here!
Do share yours too!

Great Great Great Great Great Great:Wow! Great
I have done lots of railfanning in Bihar but here RPF never asked any questions.
Once i was taking pictures of loco for 12296 at DNR (that time it used to depart from PPTA and rake went from DNR after SM). The ALP came down and asked if i was interested in railways. I told him what i was doing and also asked some questions about loco operation. He then asked me to hop in the loco ( a MGS WAP4). He showed me the insides of WAP4 and i even got to honk the horn. I took the loco ride from DNR to PPTA. That was one of the most fun interactions i had while railfanning.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
