Land tangle still haunts Vizag rail zone

The proposed South Coastal Railway zone, announced in 2019 with headquarters in Visakhapatnam, is facing delays due to land acquisition issues. has been delayed due to disagreements between the Central and State governments. The Prime Minister had previously accused the State government of delaying the project by not allotting land. Despite the NDA government being in power, the land issue continues to be cited as a hindrance. The CPI(M) criticizes the Central government for not using the identified land and suggests alternative options.
