Bengaluru: Metro Phase-3 gets green signal from Centre’s investment board

of 12.5 km on Magadi Road connecting Hosahalli and Kadabagere, totaling 31 stations. The state government approved the revised project cost in March 2024 and committed to covering 80% of the cost. The project was originally approved in November 2022 for Rs 16,328 crore but was revised several times at the Union government's request for cost reduction. The Phase-3 lines are projected to carry 9.12 lakh passengers daily by 2051.
