India's Kavach Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system is being rolled out across the country's railway network to enhance safety. 1465 route km and 139 locomotives are currently equipped with Kavach. Tenders have been issued for deploying the system on an additional 10,000 km, with 6000 km already awarded. Kavach is being...

implemented on key corridors like Delhi-Mumbai (including Ahmedabad-Vadodara) and Delhi-Howrah (including Lucknow-Kanpur). The system, which was adopted as the national ATP in 2020, is being developed by three Indian OEMs (HBL PowerSystems, Kernex, and Medha), with plans to onboard more. The deployment of Kavach is crucial for the safety of passengers as it automatically applies brakes in case of overspeeding or signal passing in danger, and also provides assistance in challenging weather conditions. Other features include speed control, signal repetition in the cab, and auto whistling at level crossings. The system involves the installation of optical fiber cables, telecom towers, and equipment at stations, locomotives, and trackside locations. The goal is to equip all 70,000 route km with Kavach.

diye gaye hain. Kavach ko main corridors jaise Delhi-Mumbai (Ahmedabad-Vadodara bhi) aur Delhi-Howrah (Lucknow-Kanpur bhi) pe lagaaya ja raha hai. 2020 mein ye national ATP ban gaya, aur isko 3 Indian OEMs (HBL PowerSystems, Kernex, aur Medha) develop kar rahe hain. Aur bhi OEMs ko is project mein laane ki planning hai. Kavach ko deploy karna passengers ki safety ke liye bahut important hai, kyuki ye overspeeding ya signal crossing ke case mein automatically brakes lagate hai, aur bad weather conditions mein bhi help karta hai. Iske aur features mein speed control, cab mein signal repeat karna, aur level crossing pe auto whistling karna bhi shamil hai. System mein optical fiber cables, telecom towers, aur stations, locomotives, aur trackside locations pe equipment lagana shamil hai. Plan ye hai ki 70,000 route km pe Kavach lagaaya jaaye.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
