The 13 km geotechnical survey is expected to be completed by June, after which detailed design consultants and general consultants will be appointed. GMRAL will focus on creating an inclusive, accessible, and user-friendly metro system for all, especially women, children, senior citizens, and people with disabilities. The project will also consider integrating with buses and auto-rickshaws for last-mile connectivity. The project's foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 16th.
