46 degrees Celsius, the situation is particularly difficult for women, children, and elderly passengers. Long-distance trains are consistently arriving late, with some arriving the next morning after departing in the evening or night. As a result, the station's AC, non-AC, and women's waiting halls are packed around the clock. The waiting hall's capacity is only 170 people, but due to the delays, the number of passengers waiting often exceeds 500, leading to a shortage of space in both the waiting halls and on the platforms. The AC waiting room has six AC units installed for the comfort of passengers, but after a fire incident, the railway administration is operating only three AC units at a time in two shifts, fearing that running all six units simultaneously could lead to another fire. Some of the trains running significantly late include the Puri Udhana Special (27 hours), Howrah Pune Azad Hind Express (20.32 hours), Pune Howrah Azad Hind (15.27 hours), Howrah Pune Duronto AC (14.26 hours), Barauni Gondia Express (7.20 hours), Hyderabad Patna Raxaul Express (4.23 hours), Mumbai Shalimar Express (4.10 hours), Samarasata Express (3.45 hours), and Gitaanjali Express (3.10 hours). With the summer season bringing an influx of travelers, most trains are packed, but the delays are making travel extremely challenging. Passengers are forced to endure the scorching heat during the day and sleep on the platforms at night. Govind Kumar, who arrived in Raipur on the Sarnath Express, missed his connecting train to Visakhapatnam due to the Sarnath Express being three hours late. Deepraj, who was traveling to Mumbai on the Howrah Mumbai Express, faced a four-hour delay, arriving at Raipur at 12:53 pm instead of 8:45 am. He mentioned that he was traveling alone, so he managed to cope with the delay.

AC waiting room mein passengers ki rahat ke liye 6 ACs lage hue hain, lekin aag lagne ke baad, railway administration ek baar mein sirf teen ACs chal raha hai, do shifts mein, kyunki unko dar hai ki saare ACs ek saath chalane se aag fir se lag sakti hai. Passengers ko din mein garmi jhelni pad rahi hai, aur raat mein platform pe chadar daal ke sona pad raha hai. Govind Kumar, jo Sarnath Express se Raipur aaye the, unki samta Express se Visakhapatnam jaane wali train miss ho gayi, kyunki Sarnath Express 3 hours late thi. Deepraj, jo Howrah Mumbai Express se Mumbai jaa rahe the, unki train 4 hours late thi, aur woh Raipur 12:53 pm pe pahuchi, jabki 8:45 am pe pahunchni thi. Unhone bataya ki woh akele travel kar rahe the, toh unhone manage kar liya.
