Indian Railways has fully electrified all railway routes in Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in its goal of transitioning to electric traction and eliminating diesel-powered trains nationwide. of the 85 km Shubhagpur-Pachperwa stretch in Gorakhpur connects several already electrified railway zones. While 85% of the broader electrification project is complete, the Railways aims for 100% electrification of all broad gauge routes. The Railways anticipates a significant energy demand of 8,200 MW by 2029-30, requiring a projected 30,000 MW of renewable energy to achieve its carbon neutrality target. To achieve this, the Railways has authorized 143 MW of solar and 103 MW of wind power plants, along with an additional 2,150 MW of confirmed renewable energy capacity.

Indian Railways ne Uttar Pradesh mein sabhi railway routes ko pura electrify kar diya hai, yeh unke saare railway network ko electric traction pe badalne aur deshbhar mein diesel-based trains ko khatam karne ke lakshya ka ek bada kadam hai. lakshya ki taraf ek bada kadam hai, yeh India ke renewable energy ke global commitment se match karta hai. Gorakhpur mein 85 km lamba Shubhagpur-Pachperwa stretch ko electrify kiya gaya hai, yeh kaafi electrified railway zones ko jodta hai. 85% electrification project poora ho chuka hai, Railways ka lakshya hai ki sabhi broad gauge routes ko 100% electrify kiya jaaye. Railways ko 2029-30 tak 8,200 MW energy ki jarurat padne ki ummid hai, apna carbon neutrality lakshya achieve karne ke liye 30,000 MW renewable energy ki jarurat padegi. Is lakshya ko achieve karne ke liye Railways ne 143 MW solar aur 103 MW wind power plants ko approve kiya hai, aur 2,150 MW renewable energy capacity bhi confirm kiya hai.
