The Chenab Rail Bridge, the world's highest railway bridge, will connect Jammu and Kashmir to the rest of India and is a key part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramula Rail Link (USBRL) project, which is expected to be operational by August or September. The railway system is also undergoing major safety improvements, including the elimination of manned-level crossings through the construction of road overbridges and underbridges. Investments are being made to increase the speed of passenger trains, particularly on key routes like Delhi-Howrah and Delhi-Mumbai.

Chenab Rail Bridge, dunia ka sabse uncha railway bridge, Jammu and Kashmir ko India ke baaki hisso se jodhega aur ye Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramula Rail Link (USBRL) project ka ek important hissa hai, jiska operationalization August ya September tak hone wala hai. Railway system mein safety ko bhi improve kiya ja raha hai, jisme manned-level crossings ko khatam karne ke liye road overbridges aur underbridges banaye ja rahe hain. Passenger trains ki speed badhane ke liye investment kiya ja raha hai, khaas kar Delhi-Howrah aur Delhi-Mumbai jaise important routes par.
