Bengaluru's Tech Hub Whitefield To Get Elevated Suburban Rail Link

Bengaluru is getting a new elevated suburban rail link to connect Whitefield, a major tech hub, to the city's central business district (CBD). This project, led by KRIDE, is designed to improve public transport connectivity. The 17-kilometer elevated line will replace the previously proposed at-grade rail line. It will run from...

Cantonment to Whitefield, and will be integrated with existing Namma Metro and South Western Railway (SWR) networks. A key challenge is the incompatibility between KRIDE's signaling system and SWR's. To address this, KRIDE is considering solutions like building the elevated corridor after Cantonment station or constructing new tracks parallel to SWR's infrastructure. KRIDE plans to proceed with the construction of the suburban rail link from Kengeri to Cantonment as initially planned, with tracks laid alongside SWR's lines. This section will include 13 stations, connecting key locations like Jnana Bharathi, KSR Bengaluru, and Whitefield. SWR is also making progress on quadrupling tracks along a 19-kilometer stretch, expected to be completed by mid-2025.

line ki jagah lega. Ye Cantonment se Whitefield tak chalega, aur existing Namma Metro aur South Western Railway (SWR) networks se integrate hoga. Ek main challenge KRIDE ke signaling system aur SWR ke system ke beech ka incompatibility hai. Isko solve karne ke liye, KRIDE kuchh options pe kaam kar raha hai, jaise Cantonment station ke baad elevated corridor banana ya SWR ke infrastructure ke parallel new tracks banaana. KRIDE ne initially plan kiye gaye suburban rail link ke construction ko Kengeri se Cantonment tak jaari rakhne ka plan banaya hai, jisme tracks SWR ke existing lines ke saath lagaye jayenge. Is section mein 13 stations honge, jisme Jnana Bharathi, KSR Bengaluru, aur Whitefield jaise important locations connect honge. SWR bhi 19-kilometer stretch par tracks ko quadruple karne ka kaam kar raha hai, jiska completion mid-2025 tak hone ki ummeed hai.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
