These developments are expected to benefit residents of Panipat and surrounding areas. Notably, Panipat City MLA Pramod Vij and Panipat Rural MLA were absent due to the ongoing assembly session. MP Sanjay Bhatia, who attended the foundation laying ceremony for the Gohana Road overbridge, expressed gratitude to PM Modi and stated that these projects will open new doors for development. Others present included former mayor Avneet Kaur, SDM Samalkha Amit Kumar, Rahul Vij, and Pran Ratnakara. The Gohana Road NFL Gate (No. 59-A) overbridge will be four-lane and cost ₹110 crore, including the scope of work for Gate No. 58 near the canal. This will provide ease of access and eliminate travel issues. An underpass will also be constructed to connect NFL. An ROB is being built near Asan Kalan village at Gate No. 47 on the Panipat-Jind line.
