After the prime minister's virtual inauguration and address, the chief guests unveiled a plaque. Thousands of people from different parties attended the ceremony. The Kodarma MP stated that the overbridge at the busy railway crossing in Saria was a challenge for her, but now with the prime minister's inauguration, it's a dream fulfilled. She also mentioned that a railway overbridge will be built at the Chichaki railway crossing soon. Additionally, she highlighted the resumption of train operations at Giridih railway station after nearly 150 years. Compensation will be provided to those affected by the overbridge construction. Bagodar MLA Singh emphasized that he has been raising the issue of the railway overbridge in the assembly since 2010. He criticized the railway's policy, pointing out that the Hatia-Islampur Express will now stop at Chaudharibandh railway station for a short time during the night, but not during the day, despite two other trains running on the same route during the day. He demanded that the railway stop all trains on this route, regardless of the time of day. The event saw a confrontation between BJP and CPI (ML) supporters, with both sides engaging in chanting and shouting for around half an hour. Eventually, the MP and MLA appealed for calm, which restored order. Several organizations submitted memorandums to the MP and DRM regarding issues like train halts and extending the railway reservation booking counter hours. Additionally, women from the Ayushman Mitra organization submitted a memorandum with their demands to the MP. Separately, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated a railway underpass in Chhotiki Saria, also through a virtual ceremony. This event also saw cultural performances and local residents in attendance.
