PM Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a ₹2,700 crore rail project, including 27 stations and 83 new bridges in the Bilaspur zone under Amrit Bharat Station. The railway stations in the Bilaspur zone of Chhattisgarh that will be revamped include Korba, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon, Sarona, Bhatapara, Dongargarh, Bhilainagar, Hathbandh, Bilha, Baikunthpur Road, Ambikapur, Uslapur, Pendra Road, Janjgir, Naila, Champa, Dallirajhara, Bhanupratapupr, Nipaniya, Mandir Hasaud, Baradwar, and Bhilai. Under the Prime Minister Amrit Bharat Station scheme, the proposed development works in the Howrah-Mumbai line will be carried out at Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Tilda-Nevala, Akaltara, Bhilai Power House, Wadsa, Chanda Fort, and Gondia stations. The Mahasamund railway station, falling under the East Coast Railway section of Chhattisgarh, will also be renovated. The foundation stone for the reconstruction of the underbridge on platform number 1 at Durg railway station in Durg district was laid. Underbridges will be constructed at Urla and Bagheera in Durg. The foundation stone for the reconstruction of Bhilai Nagar railway station was laid virtually under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme. The Amrit Bharat Station scheme includes 21 railway stations in Chhattisgarh and 33 in Madhya Pradesh.
