and the Northeast Railway has also issued a notice. However, the change at ticket windows on the Northeast Railway is not yet effective, as the official notification is still pending. Passengers can already purchase tickets for 10 rupees on the railway app. During COVID, all passenger trains were converted to unreserved specials, with fares increased to match those of general coaches in express trains. Although the services and stops remained the same, the minimum fare increased from 10 to 30 rupees. This system has continued even after the end of COVID, with passengers receiving the same services as passenger trains. The Railway Board has now directed all unreserved special, DEMU, and MEMU trains to be run as passenger trains with the previous fare structure. All zonal railways are now preparing for the change. The West Central Railway has already implemented it, and the Northeast Railway is also ready, having issued a letter on February 22nd. The changes are reflected in the UTS system and on the app, where tickets are now available for 10 rupees. However, the change at ticket windows is not yet effective due to the pending notification. The minimum fare remains at 30 rupees there. The notification is expected to be released in the first week of March, after which all unreserved special trains will become passenger trains.

COVID ke dauran, sabhi passenger trains ko unreserved specials mein badal diya gaya tha, aur fares express trains ke general coaches ke barabar kar diye gaye the. Halaanki services aur stops same rahe, lekin minimum fare 10 se badhkar 30 rupees ho gaya. COVID kaal khatam hone ke baad bhi yeh vyavastha lagatar chalti aa rahi thi, passengers ko passenger trains wali hi suvidhaayein mil rahi thi. Railway Board ne ab sabhi unreserved special, DEMU, aur MEMU trains ko passenger trains ke roop mein chalane ka nirdhesh jaari kiya hai, aur fares bhi pehle jaise kar diye jaayenge.
