While the government is now actively working to clear land hurdles, the remaining land is expected to be delivered by the end of February 2024. Once the land is secured, a tender for the remaining 70 km of track will be floated in March or April, with the entire project expected to be completed by December 2026. The project also requires 1003.945 acres of private land, of which 551 acres in Angul have been acquired. Deogarh and Sundargarh are expected to acquire the remaining private land by the end of February 2024.
