Vaiko ne Southern Railway ke general manager ko diye gaye ek memorandum mein Madurai Division ke liye kai infrastructural sudharon ki bhi maang ki hai, jismein track doubling, platform ka extension aur train services mein badhottari shamil hai. Unhone kuchh specific request bhi kiye hain, jaise ki kuchh trains ko specific stations pe roka jaaye, Mysore Express ka timing badla jaaye, aur existing train routes ko badhaya jaaye. Vaiko ne yeh bhi kaha ki existing trains ko daily service mein badla jaaye, Silambu Express ko 'super fast' express mein upgrade kiya jaaye, aur Madurai-Bengaluru route pe Vande Bharat train chalaai jaaye.

Better to run a daily overnight train between Madurai and Bangalore. Even Rameshwaram to Bangalore is suitable.
MG era Coimbatore Kollam via Madurai is still missing in BG era.
