of commissioned projects for Andhra Pradesh, which was 73 km per year during 2009-2014, has doubled to 141 km per year during 2014-23. This information was provided by the Railway and IT Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, in response to questions raised by MP Parimal Nathwani in the Rajya Sabha on February 2, 2024, regarding railway projects. MP Nathwani had inquired about pending and ongoing railway projects in Andhra Pradesh, including their estimated cost, completion timeframe, expenditure incurred, and anticipated completion dates. As of April 1, 2023, a total of 33 railway infrastructure projects, comprising 17 new lines and 16 doublings, with a combined length of 5,331 km and a cost of ₹68,059 crore, are either fully or partially located in Andhra Pradesh. Out of these, 683 km have been commissioned, and ₹18,673 crore has been spent till March 2023.

Yeh information Railway aur IT Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw ne di, jab MP Parimal Nathwani ne 2 February, 2024 ko Rajya Sabha mein railway projects ke baare mein sawal kiye. MP Nathwani ne Andhra Pradesh mein pending aur chal rahe railway projects ke baare mein jaankari mangi thi, jismein project ka estimated cost, completion timeframe, expenditure, aur completion date bhi shamil thi. 1 April, 2023 tak, Andhra Pradesh mein 33 railway infrastructure projects the, jismein 17 new lines aur 16 doublings the.
