While there is no direct train connection, passengers from Indore can currently reach Ayodhya via trains from Ujjain. These trains include the Sabarmati-Varanasi City Express (four days a week), the Sabarmati-Darbhanga Express (three days a week), and the Muzaffarpur Express (one day a week). However, these trains are often fully booked, making it difficult for Indore residents to secure seats. The new direct train service aims to alleviate this issue and provide passengers with a more convenient travel option.
